Green Zone Trailer with Matt Damon
I am now more excited to see this movie than I've been about pretty much any movie this year. This longer preview is just as cool as the teaser we saw before and it still doesn't give everything away. Very cool.
An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions in
Johannesburg, South Africa suddenly find a "kindred spirit" in a

I still haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I've heard the book by Dennis Lehane (who wrote the books Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone were based on) is really good.
It looks like Martin Scorsese has hit upon a good look for the film. And he couldn't have asked for a better cast. Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, and Jackie Earle Haley star. This could definitely be an early Oscar favorite and I think we should look for DiCaprio to get another nomination...maybe a win?
The story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo),
who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the cost of
Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a
murderess from the island's fortress-like hospital for the criminally
insane. Shutter Island opens on October 2, 2009.

This movie has a fantastic cast that includes Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau and Jason Bateman. How could you go wrong with that? And it looks incredibly funny. Can't wait. Hits theaters on October 9th.

This looks just as awesome as Band of Brothers...too bad it doesn't come out until 2010...
